Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax filings across federal, state, and local jurisdictions for individuals and various business entities
- Conduct research on tax regulations and contribute to strategic planning for clients in specialized industries
- Manage multi-state compliance for clients with diverse and complex income sources
- Respond to tax-related inquiries and assist with audit preparation and documentation
- Support financial reporting processes, including ledger reconciliation and variance analysis
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in tax preparation and general accounting functions
- Familiarity with accounting platforms and tax software such as Quick Books, Excel, and Go Systems
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle detailed financial data with precision
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and preparing ad-hoc financial reports
- Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field; advanced tax education is a plus
- CPA certification or active progress toward licensure
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and client service excellence
- Skilled in managing accounts payable and receivable processes and tracking cash flow
- Capable of interpreting tax regulations and applying them to real-world scenarios
