Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant for an immediate need to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base pay rate of $37.00 to $42.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:

Manage daily accounting operations using Quick Books with accuracy and efficiency. Advanced Quick Books and Quick Books online is required
Post journal entries, including payroll-related entries, to maintain accurate general ledger records
Develop and implement structured accounting procedures such as a month-end close calendar
Monitor adherence to accounting processes and ensure consistency across the team
Collaborate with internal teams to support financial reporting and compliance efforts

Requirements:

Demonstrate proficiency in Quick Books to handle all core accounting functions
Apply both accrual and cash-based accounting methods as needed for various financial tasks
Maintain accuracy in journal entry postings, especially for payroll and recurring transactions
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to workflow enhancements
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on accounting practices

Qualifications:

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution
4+ years of experience in a senior accounting or similar role
Understand GAAP principles and apply them in daily accounting activities
Show strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial data management
Use accounting software and tools confidently to streamline financial operations
