Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role focuses on managing complex accounting processes for private equity fund structures and a management company. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in fund accounting, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a dynamic finance team.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate general ledger records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and other recurring accounting tasks within Quick Books.

- Review and process vendor invoices and intercompany transactions while ensuring compliance with approval protocols and documentation standards.

- Oversee expense reimbursement processes, including data entry and reviewing expense reports for managerial approval.

- Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, partnership allocations, and partners' capital account schedules.

- Ensure all financial transactions are supported by complete, accurate, and organized documentation.

- Manage vendor records and compile data required for annual reporting.

- Collaborate with the finance team to meet departmental goals and deadlines.

- Assist in preparing financial statements and maintaining compliance with accounting principles.

- Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.

- Contribute to improving accounting workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in private equity fund accounting, public accounting (audit), or fund administration.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and meticulous attention to detail.

- Hands-on experience with Quick Books is essential.

- Proficiency in Excel and other Office applications.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrated experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
