We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team. This role will play a critical part in the monthly close process, analysis, internal financial reporting, and supporting a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, experience in a consumer product-based business, and is comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, planning, operations, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities- Own and execute key components of the monthly close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Ensure accurate accounting for inventory, cost of goods sold, accruals, and reserves
- Assist with revenue recognition across subsidiaries and revenue streams
- Support financial statement preparation in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting policies
- Assist with audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
- Explain variances and support business insights
- Support system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives within Net Suite and other IT systems
- Assist with special projects, including integrations, system implementations, and M&A activity as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a CPG, manufacturing, or product-based environment
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Net Suite experience strongly preferred
- Experience with inventory accounting and COGS required
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) preferred
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing, evolving environment
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting automation tools
