We’re seeking an organized and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our team to support our financial operations, focusing on rental property accounting and reporting.
Job SummaryThe Accounting & Billing Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining our financial records, managing accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring accuracy in our financial transactions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting, preferably in the real estate or property management sector.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements, tenant payments, and property expenses.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist with tenant billing, including rent, utilities, and other charges, and monitor payment status.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain detailed records of property expenses and budgets, assisting with financial analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with the accounting team to streamline and improve financial processes.
- Communicate with tenants regarding payment inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate or property management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Door Loop and Quick Books is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
