Accounting Manager

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy and compliance, manage reporting cycles, and partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Production, and Ecommerce teams.

This role reports directly to senior leadership and plays a key role in strengthening internal controls, improving processes, and providing financial clarity across departments.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Analyze margins by channel (Wholesale, DTC, Retail)
• Monitor inventory valuation and COGS
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes

• Manage AP, AR, and general ledger functions
• Supervise cash flow planning and reporting
• Oversee chargebacks and deductions from major retailers
• Ensure proper revenue recognition across wholesale and ecommerce channels
• Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness

• Manage and mentor accounting staff
• Partner with Production & Sourcing on landed cost analysis
• Work with Ecommerce on payment reconciliation, returns accounting, and sales tax
• Support Sales with commission calculations and reporting
• Collaborate with external CPA firm and banking partners

• Identify inefficiencies and implement automation where possible
• Improve reporting dashboards and KPI visibility
• Strengthen inventory and operational accounting workflows

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of accounting experience (apparel, consumer goods, or ecommerce strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost analysis
• Experience with ERP systems (Apparel ERP experience a plus)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Strong communicator with the ability to partner across departments
