Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $33.00 to $40.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports while ensuring adherence to internal guidelines.
Match purchase orders with receipts and invoices to confirm transaction accuracy.
Initiate and manage electronic payments and fund transfers on a regular schedule.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable records to maintain data integrity.
Maintain up-to-date vendor profiles and respond promptly to payment-related inquiries.

Requirements:

Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting functions is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with financial systems and accounting software used for invoice processing.
Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail when reviewing financial documents and transactions.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and internal control procedures.

Qualifications:

An Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for vendor and team interactions.
Comfortable supporting audits by organizing and presenting financial documentation.
Skilled in reconciling accounts and identifying errors or inconsistencies.
Experience assisting with month-end close and preparing financial summaries.
