Staff Accountant

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Staff Accountant located in Van Nuys, CA. The Staff Accountant will perform a wide range of financial activities, including managing day to day accounts payable and receivable activity, reconciling accounts, and supporting the accounting function for a rapidly growing organization. The role also involves ensuring compliance with GAAP, preparing payroll, and assisting with financial audits.

Collaboration with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting is a key aspect of this position.

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Strong track record in working independently and in a team setting as well as handling multiple deadlines
• Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues and present solutions
• Strong Excel skills, and experience using ERP systems such as Sage, Quickbooks, Rippling, or similar.
• You are well‑versed in accounting principles and will execute every task with a meticulous eye and inquisitive mind

• Prepare journal entries and support the Controller, with month‑end close activities, including bank reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable (~150‑200 bills/month) and record company credit card transactions
• Ensure all financial records are organized, accurate, and up to date
• Assist with preparation of bi‑weekly payroll
• Review expenses, payroll records, prepaids, accruals etc. as needed
• Assist management with ad‑hoc requests & analysis
• This role is on‑site, 5 days a week, in our office in Van Nuys

The recruiting base salary range for this full‑time position is $80,000 - $90,000 /year

Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training

All employees are automatically enrolled at 3% into the Company's 401(k) Plan on the first of the month following 90 days of continuous employment

• Diploma in accounting or other accounting certification
• Experience in construction, trades, or other labor intensive industries a plus
• Experience with systems such as Rippling or Sage Intacct preferred but not required
