Our client a global entertainment company is hiring for an Accountant to join their team in Hollywood, California. This is an initial 9-month onsite contract opportunity.

As the Accountant you will be supporting payables, expense reports, processing and reviewing account coding, and working on POs, compile backup for journal entries, reconciliation workbooks, troubleshooting any onboarding issues, checking payments status and monitoring deadlines for payments, month end close, electronic filing for data.

Contract
: 9-month (possibility of extension)

Responsibilities
  • Process payment requests by verifying contract terms and updating payment schedules accordingly for CBS Studios Development and Overhead
  • Review weekly payroll and timecard data to ensure accuracy and completeness for term deal employees
  • Code accounts payable transactions for term deal and overhead expenses, securing necessary approvals and ensuring timely payments
  • Collaborate with HR and production teams to support term deal requirements and assist other studio departments as needed
  • Partner with Contract Administration to resolve vendor setup issues and support vendor onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to Smart Accounting systems
  • Maintain accurate working files and documentation to support financial audits and reporting
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or payroll operations, preferably in the entertainment industry
  • Proficient in MS Office / Adobe Acrobat; experience with Oracle, Smart View, or Entertainment Partner system is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Entertainment industry experience is a plus
