An established entertainment firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced professional services environment. This role will own key accounting processes, support payroll administration, and work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth financial operations. The position also includes limited financial coordination support for the firm’s owner.
This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a service-based environment with time-based billing and complex operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead the monthly close process and prepare financial statements for leadership
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Manage billing coordination and review client invoices for accuracy
- Support payroll processing and maintain employee compensation records
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies
- Coordinate with external accountants and advisors for tax and year-end reporting
- Provide select financial coordination support for the firm’s owner and leadership team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5-8+ years of accounting experience, ideally within professional services, legal, or entertainment environments
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Experience working in environments with timekeeping or billing-based revenue models
- Familiarity with payroll administration
- High level of discretion and attention to detail
- Proficiency with accounting systems such as Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar platforms
- CPA or CPA-track candidates are a plus
- Experience supporting leadership or founders in a high-touch business environment
