Accounts Payable Specialist

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay Rate: $27-30/hour

Duration: 6-month contract

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the headquarters finance team in Santa Monica. This role will focus on high-volume invoice processing, vendor communication, and accounts payable operations across multiple business units.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong attention to detail, the ability to manage high invoice volumes, and excellent communication skills when working with vendors and internal teams.

• Process and review high-volume invoices (up to 500 per day)
• Route invoices to approvers through internal workflow systems
• Post approved invoices with accurate GL coding
• Track and follow up on invoice approvals
• Support month-end accounts payable activities
• Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices and payments
• Assist with sales and use tax review and self-assessment
• Process fixed assets according to company policy
• Support additional projects as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Experience working in high-volume AP environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service experience supporting vendors and internal teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
