Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the monthly close process while identifying ways to improve timing and accuracy.
- Prepare recurring and non recurring journal entries and recommend improvements to streamline workflows.
- Complete bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Document core accounting processes and evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency through automation.
- Support audit activities by preparing reconciliations, analyses, and consistent supporting documentation.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands on general ledger ownership.
- Previous experience managing month end close, bank reconciliations, and account reviews for payables and receivables.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and audit support requirements.
- Prior experience working with enterprise accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
- Proven ability to lead and execute process improvement initiatives across accounting functions.
- Advanced Excel skills used for reconciliations, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail paired with an analytical approach to solving process gaps.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative leadership style across teams.
- Interest in improving and standardizing accounting processes through technology and automation.
