Job Responsibilities:
- Lead period close activities and ensure financial records are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to support balanced books.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and support compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Analyze financial results and provide clear explanations for variances and key trends.
- Partner with internal teams to support planning efforts and identify opportunities to improve processes.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and month end close procedures.
- Previous experience using enterprise accounting systems with exposure to Great Plains.
- Advanced Excel skills for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across teams.
- Prior experience supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Background in multi location or consumer focused environments.
