Job Responsibilities:
- Lead month end quarter end and year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review and approve journal entries account reconciliations and supporting schedules prepared by the team.
- Prepare complex journal entries reconciliations and variance analyses for management review.
- Oversee purchase order activity vendor prepayments and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
- Support accounts payable operations including weekly payment processing and issue resolution.
- A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field of study.
- 2+ years of experience managing or supervising accounting functions or staff.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of United States accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Use Excel at an advanced level with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Apply strong analytical organizational and leadership skills in a deadline driven environment.
- Lead mentor and develop accounting staff through coaching feedback and performance support.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure consistent application of accounting policies.
- Analyze financial results identify issues and recommend improvements to processes and controls.
- Collaborate effectively with internal partners across finance procurement and operations.
- Demonstrate accountability initiative and the ability to manage priorities independently while supporting team goals.
