Job responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax calculations and support financial reporting related to income taxes.
- Assist with preparation of federal and state tax filings for corporate and partnership entities.
- Calculate estimated tax payments and support extension filings as needed.
- Prepare and review non income tax filings, including sales, use, and property related returns.
- Research tax issues, respond to notices, and assist with audit support activities.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in tax or accounting roles.
- Working knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with office software and familiarity with tax preparation systems.
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prepare accurate tax filings.
- Effective communication skills for working with internal teams and external agencies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to research and resolve tax related issues.
- Organized and reliable work style with strong time management skills.
- Previous experience in public accounting or large organization environments.
