Director of Accounting Policy & Technical Accounting

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Accounting Policy & Technical Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $180,000 to $273,000 per year.

• Lead accounting policy initiatives and provide guidance on the application of accounting standards across the organization.
• Analyze complex transactions and offer technical accounting support for business and strategic activities.
• Develop and maintain accounting documentation, including policies, manuals, and technical memos.
• Monitor new accounting guidance and communicate potential impacts to relevant stakeholders.
• Support team leadership, training initiatives, and special projects within the finance function.

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting with a focus on technical or policy related work.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and experience researching complex accounting topics.
• Previous experience supporting financial reporting teams and providing technical guidance.
• Professional certification such as CPA.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex accounting matters.
