- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, cash management, and fixed assets.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring financial results are accurate, timely, and compliant.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Partner with operations, FP&A, and leadership teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis tied to restaurant performance.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support external and internal audits, as well as tax preparation and related accounting requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices within a growing multi-location environment.
- Mentor, train, and develop junior accounting team members as needed.
- Support future M&A, IPO, or transaction-related initiatives by preparing financial due diligence materials and assisting with related accounting needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 5 to 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 to 5+ years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Corporate accounting experience within hospitality, food and beverage, restaurants, consumer retail, or another multi-unit environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong experience with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct or a similar ERP platform.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
- Solid understanding of restaurant or hospitality accounting, including industry metrics, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- High attention to detail, strong integrity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
