Are you an experienced tax professional who enjoys working directly with business owners and tackling complex tax engagements? We're partnering with a growing public accounting firm in Los Angeles that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its collaborative and client-focused team.
Compensation: $125k to $150kbase plus comprehensive bonus package.
Location: This position is based in Downtown Los Angeles and requires working onsite initially, with hybrid flexibility available after a ramp period.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and file complex federal and state tax returns for individuals and closely held businesses
- Partner with clients to provide proactive tax planning and advisory services
- Analyze financial information to identify tax‑saving opportunities and ensure compliance
- Mentor and support junior staff while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Manage multiple client engagements with a high level of accuracy and professionalism
- Stay current on evolving tax laws and regulations to provide trusted guidance
Requirements:
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience working with small to mid‑sized businesses and their owners
- Knowledge of individual, corporate, partnership, and state tax compliance
- Experience with Quick Books and Lacerte (or similar tax software)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and client relationship skills
- EA or CPA designation preferred, but not required
