We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage financial records, perform reconciliations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. - Maintain accurate general ledger accounting and perform account reconciliation to ensure data integrity
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently using management accounting software
- Prepare journal entries, conduct balance sheet reconciliations, and analyze financial data for accuracy and completeness
- Manage payroll functions utilizing systems like ADP, Tri Net while ensuring compliance with payroll management standards
- Assist with budgeting, tax preparation, and financial concepts to facilitate strategic planning and reporting
- Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance reports for property owners.
- Process Security deposit accounting.
- Handle owner distributions and prepare year-end reports including 1099s.
- Coordinate with property managers to track capital expenditures and operating budgets.
- Assist with annual budget preparation and cash flow forecasting. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as they apply to property accounting.
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate. Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, App Folio, Buildium or similar platforms. Solid understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles. Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
