We're partnering with an established precision manufacturing business in Chatsworth that supplies highly engineered components into critical industries. This is an opportunity to become a key finance partner to operations, working closely with production, engineering and leadership while helping shape the future of the site's costing processes.

You’ll be the finance lead for inventory and manufacturing costing, partnering closely with operations to provide meaningful analysis that supports business performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing monthly manufacturing performance and key business metrics
- Leading inventory analysis, valuation and reconciliation activities
- Supporting physical inventory and ensuring accurate reporting
- Reviewing scrap, inventory adjustments and work order variances
- Preparing product costing, manufacturing cost estimates and margin analysis
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and month-end close
- Maintaining labor, overhead and cost allocations
- Performing variance analysis and reporting on manufacturing performance
- Working with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Sales and Finance
- Supporting internal and external audits and maintaining strong financial controls
We’re looking for someone who understands manufacturing finance rather than purely transactional accounting.
You’ll ideally have:- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 4+ years’ experience within manufacturing accounting or cost accounting
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations with inventory and product costing
- Strong Excel skills (comfortable working with large data sets and analysis)
- ERP experience
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and work-in-progress (WIP)
- Experience reviewing manufacturing balance sheets and inventory valuation
- Ability to explain cost rolls, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering routings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
This role would suit someone from an aerospace, industrial manufacturing, automotive, precision engineering, metal manufacturing or similar environment where products move through multiple manufacturing processes before completion. Experience with weighted average costing would be highly beneficial.
