Accountant (Contract)
Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Pay: $25–28/hour
Schedule: Standard business hours
We're partnering with a well-established organization seeking an Accountant to join their Accounting Operations team on a contract basis with potential for long-term extension. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team with strong training and the chance to gain experience in a large corporate accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare account reconciliations and research discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close activities and journal entries
- Support general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Assist with audit requests and SOX compliance
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
- Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience with Oracle, People Soft, or Hyperion is a plus
- Corporate accounting experience preferred
