Legal Accounting Administrator
A dynamic law firm in the San Fernando Valley is seeking an organized Legal Accounting Administrator to lead daily financial workflows. Working alongside attorneys, paralegals, and an outside bookkeeper, this position manages incoming vendor expenses, client invoicing, settlement disbursements, and trust accounting records to keep firm operations seamless and compliant.
Ideal Candidate:Process incoming invoices, manage vendor/office expenses, issue client invoices, and coordinate payments for experts, consultants, and court reporters.
Track settlement disbursements, case-related expenses, and cost reimbursements in direct coordination with legal teams.
Assist with trust accounting tracking (IOLTA) and monitor client fund statuses to ensure strict regulatory compliance.
Maintain physical and digital financial records; coordinate bank, credit card, and account reconciliations with the outside bookkeeper.
Maintain financial entries across case management and accounting software, monitor payment deadlines, and resolve account discrepancies proactively.
2–6 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or legal billing experience within a law firm environment.
Knowledge of legal accounting standards, including trust account compliance and case cost tracking.
Proficiency in legal accounting and case management software (e.g., Quick Books, Lean Law, CASEPEER, Filevine, or PCLaw).
Strong organization, deadline tracking, and communication skills for working with external vendors and bookkeepers.
Competitive salary range: $55,000 - $80,000 +
