Law firm is seeking a Billing & Collections Specialist to join their Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities- Manage legal billing, collections, and e-billing processes
- Reconcile client accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, and process payment adjustments
- Handle complex billing matters, including insurance billing and e-billing rejections
- Assist with month-end billing close and support monthly collections efforts
- Review engagement letters, billing guidelines, client rate structures, and alternative fee arrangements
- Prepare billing, collections, and financial reports and perform data analysis
- Participate in software implementations, testing, training, and process improvement initiatives
- Provide backup billing support as needed and assist with special projects
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of billing, collections, and e-billing experience in a law firm required
- Experience with Aderant Classic or Expert, Paperless Billing, and Bill Blast strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required
- Experience participating in accounting or billing software implementations is a plus
