We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team in the San Fernando Valley
. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of corporate accounting experience with a strong background in full-cycle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting support.
This position requires an organized and proactive professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities Accounts Payable- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Perform invoice verification and three-way matching.
- Manage ACH, wire transfers, and check runs.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor files and support new vendor onboarding.
- Assist with annual 1099 preparation and reporting.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices.
- Post and reconcile customer payments.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
- Work closely with customers to maintain positive relationships and timely collections.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Support external audits and financial reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
- Assist with process improvements and special accounting projects.
- Minimum 5 years of corporate accounting experience
. - Strong experience overseeing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or corporate environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations is highly desirable.
