- Analyze costs, financial results, identify trends, variances, and unusual transactions, and provide recommendations to management.
- Work collaboratively with Production Department to review monthly plant expenses.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned, including ad hoc reports and analyses.
- Assist with month-end closing.
- Prepare journal entries to accrue revenue and expenses or other items in accordance with GAAP and the accounting policies established by the company.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Provide support and necessary documents for annual external audit.
- Provide support for income and other tax filing requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
- Assist Assistant Controller to continue developing improvements in internal policies, procedures, and processes.
- Liaise with information systems and technologies team to implement improvements to the accounting system.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned, including ad hoc reports and analyses.
- Strong critical thinking skills and understanding of basic accounting concepts (e.g. debits and credits)
- High-level knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, data validation, conditional formatting, and the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets efficiently.
- Strong familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to quickly learn industry-related regulations quickly and utilize information in written reports
- Comfortable preparing and delivering reports to management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor degree in accounting, finance, business or related field AND 4 to 6 years of full-time accounting experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) title is preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLSMust be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), CRM and have experience with other analytical software tools.
