Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a team in Los Angeles, California on a Contract basis. In this role, you will support core accounting operations by managing financial records, handling invoice-related activity, and helping keep daily transactions accurate and up to date. This position plays an important part in maintaining organized documentation, supporting payment and billing workflows, and contributing to timely month-end financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Review and process incoming invoices to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and timely entry into accounting records.

- Enter financial information into the appropriate systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Assist with accounts payable activities, including preparing payments and maintaining vendor documentation.

- Support accounts receivable functions by tracking incoming payments and helping resolve billing discrepancies.

- Reconcile account balances and investigate variances to help maintain reliable financial data.

- Organize and maintain accounting files, records, and supporting documentation for easy access and audit readiness.

- Contribute to month-end close activities by preparing reports and assisting with account review tasks. Requirements - Experience supporting accounting operations in an accounting clerk or similar finance-related role.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and general comfort using accounting software.

- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and consistency.

- Experience processing invoices and maintaining organized financial records.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Solid written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external contacts.
