Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California on a Contract basis. This position supports core accounting operations by handling financial records, coordinating invoice activity, and helping keep daily transactions accurate and organized. The role also contributes to accounts payable and accounts receivable processes while assisting with reporting tasks tied to monthly close activities.

Responsibilities:

- Review and process incoming invoices to help ensure payments are handled accurately and on schedule.

- Enter financial and transactional information into accounting records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Support accounts payable activities by matching documentation, verifying details, and preparing items for payment processing.

- Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including recording incoming payments and helping monitor outstanding balances.

- Reconcile account details and resolve discrepancies by comparing records and investigating variances.

- Maintain organized financial files and documentation so records remain current, complete, and easy to access.

- Contribute to month-end accounting support by preparing information needed for reporting and close-related activities. Requirements - Experience supporting accounting operations in an accounting clerk, bookkeeping, or similar finance-related role.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and confidence using accounting software for daily transaction entry.

- Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.

- Experience processing invoices and maintaining organized financial documentation.

- Ability to reconcile records, identify discrepancies, and follow through on corrections.

- Solid organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
