Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California for a Contract position. This role supports day-to-day financial operations by handling transactional accounting tasks, maintaining organized records, and helping keep reporting activities on schedule. The ideal candidate brings strong accuracy, sound judgment, and the ability to work efficiently across payable and receivable processes.

Responsibilities:

- Review and process vendor invoices accurately, ensuring payment information is complete and properly recorded.

- Enter financial transactions into accounting systems with close attention to accuracy and timeliness.

- Assist with accounts payable activities, including matching documentation, verifying details, and preparing items for payment.

- Support accounts receivable functions by tracking incoming payments, updating account records, and following up on outstanding balances as needed.

- Reconcile account activity regularly to identify discrepancies and help maintain reliable financial data.

- Organize and maintain accounting files, reports, and supporting documentation for easy access and audit readiness.

- Contribute to month-end close efforts by preparing records and assisting with routine reporting tasks. Requirements - Experience supporting accounting operations with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and confidence working within accounting software platforms.

- Strong data entry skills with a high level of speed and accuracy.

- Hands-on experience processing invoices and maintaining complete transaction records.

- Ability to reconcile accounts and investigate inconsistencies in financial information.

- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external contacts.
