Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California on a Contract basis. In this role, you will help keep financial operations organized and accurate by supporting transaction processing, record maintenance, and routine accounting activities. This position plays an important part in ensuring invoices, payments, and account details are handled efficiently while contributing to month-end financial reporting support.

Responsibilities:

- Process incoming invoices, review them for accuracy, and prepare them for timely payment.

- Enter financial information into accounting systems with a strong focus on completeness and precision.

- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities by tracking payments, receipts, and outstanding balances.

- Reconcile account records and investigate discrepancies to help maintain accurate financial data.

- Maintain organized accounting files and documentation for easy retrieval and audit readiness.

- Assist with month-end closing tasks by gathering records, updating reports, and verifying transaction details.

- Use Quick Books and related tools to record daily accounting activity and support reporting needs. Requirements - Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and other basic accounting software tools.

- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Hands-on experience processing invoices in a fast-paced work environment.

- Ability to reconcile records and identify inconsistencies in financial information.

- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounting tasks effectively.
