Senior Accountant

$35 - $45 per hour | Los Angeles, CA | On-site | Consulting

A well‑established, mission‑driven nonprofit organization is seeking a Senior Accountant with Net Suite experience to join its Finance team. This position will be responsible for hands‑on accounting activities across multiple entities and programs, including month‑end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit support.

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including assets, liabilities, revenue, expenses, and other financial activity
• Perform monthly account and balance sheet reconciliations and related financial analysis
• Handle month‑end closing responsibilities and prepare journal entries
• Prepare and maintain financial records and schedules for the annual audit
• Work directly with auditors during the audit process
• Reconcile interfund and intercompany activity between entities
• Support budgeting and financial analysis
• Oversee accurate batching and processing of weekly check requests
• Assist with AP, AR, and other general accounting functions as needed
• Support the Finance team with additional accounting projects and responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong month‑end close and reconciliation experience
• Net Suite experience required
• Budgeting experience required
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems
• Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
