Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day payment operations for a respected organization in Los Angeles, California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing high-volume invoice activity with accuracy.

Responsibilities:

- Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately while confirming supporting documentation is complete.

- Prepare payment batches and assist with check runs to ensure vendors are paid within established timelines.

- Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable records to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to research invoice questions, payment status updates, and account issues.

- Support month-end activities by providing accounts payable information, reports, and audit-ready documentation.

Requirements

- Prior experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or a closely related accounting support role.

- Working knowledge of invoice coding, payment processing, and check run procedures.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage data entry accurately in a fast-paced environment.

- Manage full-cycle accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and payment runs, with strong proficiency in Net Suite and Excel.
