Job Description & How to Apply Below
Coventry Structured Investments (“CSI”) designs alternative funding solutions in complex, esoteric situations for businesses with unique capital needs. We immerse ourselves in partner companies to structure growth-focused solutions that balance innovation and risk discipline.
We are seeking a Corporate Controller to build and lead CSI’s accounting and treasury functions from the ground up. This is a rare ground-floor leadership role during a period of significant organizational expansion.
- Lead all accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, accruals, revenue recognition, and month-end close.
- Oversee full treasury operations: cash management, liquidity planning, cash positioning, and capital movement across entities.
- Manage multi-entity accounting across SPVs, holding companies, and future fund structures.
- Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements, internal reporting packages, KPIs, and dashboards.
- Establish internal controls, audit readiness, and strong financial governance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate corporate and multi-entity tax filings with external tax advisors.
- Improve financial systems, automation, and processes to support rapid scale.
- Support structured transactions with financial modeling, capital planning, and treasury execution.
- Build and develop the accounting and treasury team as CSI grows.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of accounting experience, including multi-entity accounting.
- Treasury operations experience required.
- Strong GAAP expertise and familiarity with internal control frameworks.
- Experience in financial services, alternative lending, structured finance, or fund environments preferred.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage, high-growth environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Integral leadership role on the ground floor of a firm poised for significant growth.
- Exposure to creative transactions, complex capital needs, and immersive consulting engagements.
- Direct influence alongside founders on strategy, deal structuring, and operational transformation.
- A culture that values innovation, judgment, autonomy, and deep business understanding.
