The Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy of USC is seeking a six‑month fixed‑term Project Specialist-Administrative to support the day‑to‑day operations of our Doctor of Physical Therapy program by providing administrative support.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to- Organize and communicate full‑time clinical faculty teaching assignments.
- Develop, administer and report to leadership on mid‑semester student course evaluations.
- Manage Associate Chair for DPT Education calendar, internal and external communications, and meetings.
- Assist with planning and coordination of Division events and meetings including Master’s Research Night, Dentistry Day, and Commencement.
- Provide administrative support and special project assistance to the Division’s faculty and other staff.
- Manage the academic internships in the MS program, including site visits, orientations, and midterm evaluations.
- Support MS students through the entire academic lifecycle, including course advisement, intervention and remediation coordination.
- Provide a broad range of administrative and general office duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years’ experience.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing priorities and fluctuating workloads.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.

The hourly rate range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
