What will you be doing in this role?

The Resource Assistant performs support duties to include the transportation and cleaning of varied documents, supplies and equipment. Assists in the procurement and delivery of varied items to clinical and non clinical areas, which help to maintain and/or improve the comfort and well being of the patients, visitors and staff. Under supervision performs a variety of routine clerical duties while maintaining appropriate documentation.

Operates Patient Elevators as scheduled. Performs other duties as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs rough and fine sort of all mail related items to assigned areas
  • Performs pick up and delivery of all mail related items to assigned areas
  • Documents pick up and delivery according to department standards
  • Performs metering of all outgoing USPS mail
  • Escalates issues as appropriate to Lead and/or Manager
  • Liaises with customers to ensure mail is processed according to Hospital and department standards
  • Operates equipment in accordance with Hospital and department standards
  • Performs quality check of all mail pieces
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • At least one (1) year of customer service and/or mail processing or supply processing experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency is a requirement.
