Salary Range: $6806.73 - $9820.80 Monthly

SUMMARY

Office of Diversion and Reentry (ODR) is a program office within Community Programs, a division under the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS). The State of California’s Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is implementing the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) program. CalAIM is being administered by the Medical Care Plans (MCPs) in each jurisdiction and a key feature of CalAIM is Community Supports (CS) which will cover some of the costs of tenancy sustaining service and housing navigation services for Medi-Cal beneficiaries who meet criteria.

DHS ODR is responsible for the daily oversight and implementation of the CalAIM initiative.

The Staff Analyst will  work under the ODR Housing Team in support of the Community Supports(CS) program for CalAIM. The position will focus on managing team referrals, monitor data quality, collaborate with managed health plans and coordinate with ODR program managers. The position will also be working on developing reporting and managing the workflow for the CalAIM team along with other assigned duties.

This position will require strong organizational skills, experience with data analytics, and ability to manage relationships with internal and external partners. The Staff Analyst , Health will report to ODR’s CalAIM CS Senior Staff Analyst .

The Staff Analyst will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing programs for the Office of Diversion and Reentry under the Supportive Housing Services Master Agreement including Reentry Intensive Case Management Services.

Funding for this position is time limited. The position is funded for a 12 month period from start date or December 31, 2027, whatever ends earlier.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the Staff Analyst include, but are not limited to:
  • Work with CalAIM team on timely coordination and collection of data in preparation for CalAIM referrals. The data is entered both in a client profile and referral list and includes sensitive information related to demographics, health information, and health plan provider. Upload documentations for client profile, populate lists for identify new enrollments, cross referencing different databases to pull relative information and maintaining trackers.
  • Operationalize new CalAIM services including creation of tracker, development of workflow, staff and provider training and coordination with key partners on program implementation.
  • Represent ODR at key partner meetings, takes notes, prepares meeting minutes, action items, etc.
  • Maintains accuracy and compliance with reporting and data requirements, provides data entry/input, compilation, and data retrieval, analysis on various databases, spreadsheets, documents, and reports, etc.
  • Supervision of an array of clerical, programmatic, and/or administrative personnel as needed; may act as lead on projects, meetings, etc. as applicable.
  • Provides on-going technicalassistanceon complex issues to staff, partners, and contract agencies;assistsin the analysis of problems and identification of solutions;assistsin project modifications as needed to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Frequent use of an array of Microsoft Office Suite software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe Reader, One Note, Outlook, Publisher, Skype, Outlook, etc.
  • Performs skilled clerical and typing duties requiring a working knowledge of clerical functions involved and the use of initiative and judgment.
  • Processing, editing, and creating/developing an array of various documents (e.g., Word, Excel documents, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned
