As the Global Culture and Partnerships Specialist, you will support the Director in delivering global strategies across cultural engagement and external partnerships for HARMAN’s core brands. The role focuses on coordination and day-to-day support for partnership initiatives, music licensing, and Sponsorship Approval Committee (SAC) submissions.
The Global Culture & Partnerships team drives HARMAN’s cultural impact by developing brand-defining partnerships, shaping global cultural strategy, and ensuring consistent execution across global regions. The team identifies opportunities that connect HARMAN’s brands, (e.g. JBL), with music, sports, entertainment, talent, and cultural moments. While guiding regions to activate these partnerships effectively and in alignment with global brand direction.
What You Will Do- Support the Director in managing global partnership initiatives, including maintaining and updating the global partnership tracker.
- Provide administrative support for partnership deal memos, contract tracking, and compliance documentation.
- Compile and distribute clear, timely updates and reports on partnership status, SAC submissions, and licensing activities.
- Assist the Director in using technology tools (such as databases, dashboards, and AI tools) to enhance tracking, measurement, and reporting processes.
- Prepare and coordinate Sponsorship Approval Committee (SAC) submissions, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted on time.
- Support music licensing processes by tracking usage rights, coordinating media synchronizations, and assisting with licensing for retail product demonstrations.
- Facilitate communication with regional and divisional marketing teams to ensure accurate tracking and sharing of partnership assets and entitlements.
- Work closely with legal and senior leadership teams to ensure all partnership activities align with brand purpose and meet legal and D&I requirements.
- Contribute to collaborative planning and ideation sessions by providing research, market intelligence, and cultural insights to help shape new global partnership opportunities.
- Assist with the organization and documentation of JBL Global Culture Council meetings, ensuring key recommendations and action items are captured and followed up on effectively.
- At least 3 years of experience in music, entertainment, brand partnerships, or cultural/creative industries.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint for decks, Excel for tracking/reporting).
