We’re partnering with a well-established, privately owned US ingredients distributor (30+ years, LA-based) with a broad portfolio across vitamins, amino acids, sweeteners, probiotics, and more.
We’re looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to drive growth and lead a small commercial team, or step into leadership as the function scales.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role for a proven revenue driver who will:
- Expand into under‑penetrated markets
- Build and shape a high‑performing sales function

OverviewThis is a senior‑level commercial role combining personal sales delivery with sales leadership and strategy. The successful hire will initially focus on winning new business and growing existing accounts, before stepping into broader leadership responsibility as the team and revenue base scale.
The role is fully onsite and reports directly to the Founder, who remains hands‑on, but who would like to take a step back.
Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business & Account Growth
- Deliver significant personal revenue through new customer acquisition
- Open and grow business across food ingredients, flavours, nutrition, personal care, sports nutrition, and pet food
- Convert small or infrequent customers into strategic, long‑term accounts
- Position the business as a core supplier rather than a secondary source
- Develop and implement a scalable sales growth strategy
- Identify new markets and sectors with strong growth potential
- Drive diversification beyond the current customer and sector mix
- Lead, coach, and energise the existing sales team
- Raise capability in consultative selling, account development, and sector expansion
- Support hiring and development of additional sales talent as the business grows
- Progress into formal leadership of the commercial function within 18–24 months
- Background in ingredients manufacturing and/or distribution
- Experience with in food ingredients, nutrition, flavours, personal care, sports nutrition, or adjacent sectors
- Proven new business “hunter”
- Strong leadership potential with a hands‑on, commercial mindset
- US work authorisation (citizen or green card);
no visa sponsorship available - Based in, or willing to relocate to the Los Angeles area
