The Hire Mark Recruiting is partnering with an established healthcare organization in Los Angeles to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist
. This position will play a key role in sourcing goods and services, managing vendor relationships, controlling costs, and ensuring invoices and supplier performance meet company standards.
This is an in-office role ideal for someone with strong procurement experience, negotiation skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Research procurement needs and analyze sourcing objectives
- Identify vendor options, request quotes, and evaluate bids
- Purchase goods and services while ensuring cost control and compliance
- Manage supplier performance, delivery timelines, and contract pricing
- Draft, review, and maintain supplier agreements
- Track procurement documentation, bids, reports, and vendor records
- Support Accounts Payable with invoice verification and vendor billing portals
- Coordinate vendor onboarding and required documentation collection
- Respond to internal procurement requests and provide training on procurement systems
- Prepare metrics and performance reports related to procurement operations
- Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned
- Professional, dependable, and able to represent the company positively
- Strong communication skills with internal teams and external vendors
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates sound judgment and independent decision-making
- Maintains composure and professionalism under pressure
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buyer coordination
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Experience with cost tracking, budgeting, and process efficiency analysis
- Knowledge of compliance standards and ethical procurement practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong documentation, research, and administrative skills
- Primarily office-based work environment
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Repetitive computer and phone use
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
- Occasional travel to vendors or facilities may be required
