Compensation

In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Residential Treatment Program (STRTP) is a short-term residential therapeutic program providing services to pregnant, parenting, and at-risk young women and their children ages 13‑18 in the foster care and/or juvenile justice system. These youth are typically placed by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) or the Probation Department.
Role SummaryResponsible for monitoring, supervising, and guiding residents in their daily routine. Provides a healthy, therapeutic, and safe environment for residents and their children in their direct care.
Schedules Available- Sunday – Wednesday; 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a flex day 7:00 pm to 3:00 pm
- Wednesday – Saturday; 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a flex day 7:00 pm to 3:00 pm
- Wednesday – Saturday; 3:00 pm to 12:00 am, with a flex day 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
- Sunday – Wednesday; 3:00 pm to 12:00 am, with a flex day 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Location:
155 N Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026
- Provide supervision, protection, and care of residents individually and in groups at all times.
- Assist each resident in working with a group and handling individual problems.
- Administer discipline and set limits for behavior.
- Document residents’ progress; identify possible need for professional services; communicate findings to professional staff.
- Ensure safety of residents while transporting to and from appointments as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality as required by St. Anne’s, licensing, HIPAA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related degree
- Valid Child Development Teaching Permit
- 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, Foster and Kinship Care Education, or Psychology plus at least 100 hours of on‑the‑job experience working with youth
- Valid certificate as an Alcohol Counselor, Drug Counselor, or Alcohol and Drug Counselor with at least 100 hours of on‑the‑job experience working with youth
- Valid vocational training certificate, credential, or documentation demonstrating the individual is a trade journeyperson who instructs children in vocational skills and has at least 100 hours of experience working with youth as a mentor, athletic coach, teacher, vocational coach, tutor, counselor, or other relevant experience as determined by the department
- Previously employed as full‑time staff or served as a volunteer at a group home, short‑term residential therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program for at least one year
- Relevant life experience in the child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice systems as a consumer, mentor, or caregiver, or life experience with children who have experienced high levels of trauma, or other relevant experience as determined by the department
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
