Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Cost Estimator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile construction projects, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate cost estimates and budgeting information. You will be part of a team that is committed to excellence, innovation, and the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.

- Developing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including material, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
- Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates, and resolve issues.
- Conducting regular risk assessments and identifying potential cost overruns.
- Preparing and maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Liaising with other professionals, such as construction managers, quantity surveyors, and engineers, to ensure that all costings are accurate.
- Presenting and explaining cost estimates to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to enhance cost estimating procedures and accuracy.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods and materials, costs, and regulations.
- Proven experience with estimator software and other industry-specific software.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and estimates.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certification from the American Society of Professional Estimators or similar is a plus.
