The team is built on expertise, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. The organization is seeking a Senior Concrete Estimator to support its growing estimating department.
Position OverviewThe Senior Concrete Estimator will oversee the full estimating process for architectural, structural, and specialty concrete scopes. This role requires strong technical knowledge of concrete construction, the ability to interpret complex plans and specifications, and the confidence to manage bids from concept through final proposal. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of working independently while collaborating closely with project managers, field teams, and clients.
A remote or hybrid work arrangement may be available for highly qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for architectural, decorative, and structural concrete scopes.
- Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and project documents to determine scope and requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs using industry‑standard software and tools.
- Develop pricing, labor projections, production rates, and material cost analyses.
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Lead bid reviews, clarify scope, and ensure complete and competitive proposals.
- Collaborate with project management and field operations to ensure seamless project handoff.
- Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and trade partners.
- 7+ years of experience in concrete estimating, preferably with architectural or decorative concrete.
- Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On‑Screen Takeoff, Plan Swift, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret complex plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (not required).
