What You Will Do
GFT is seeking a Senior Railroad Construction Manager to join our Construction Services group in Los Angeles, CA. The role requires 90% travel.
Responsibilities- Inspect and oversee construction work to ensure procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections and documentation on railroad projects.
- Oversee material testing and construction cost tracking and estimates.
- Coordinate between construction project stakeholders.
- Maintain daily and periodic documentation and records throughout the project.
- Visit project sites to inspect and document field work performed.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain daily logs of construction and inspection activities.
- Compare progress reports and maintain construction safety practices and work methods for compliance.
- Minimum high school diploma.
- 15+ years of general construction experience.
- Ability to travel 90% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must successfully complete background check and drug screening.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience in highway and railroad construction.
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Head Light, etc.).
- Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree.
The salary range for this role is $140,000–$210,000, depending on experience and geographic location.
