GFT is seeking a Railroad Construction Manager to join our Construction Services group in Los Angeles, CA.

ResponsibilitiesInspect and oversee construction work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications, perform quality control inspection and documentation on railroad projects, oversee material testing, track construction costs and estimates, and coordinate between construction project stakeholders. This role requires 90% travel.
- General construction knowledge
- Research plans, specifications, material testing procedures and local agency requirements
- Prepare and maintain daily and periodic documentation and records throughout the project
- Visit project sites to inspect and document field work performed
- Prepare technical reports
- Observe and inspect construction work and contractor operations
- Maintain the daily log of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports
- Maintain construction safety practices and work methods for compliance
- Minimum high school diploma
- 5+ years of general construction experience
- Ability to travel 90% of the time
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must successfully complete background check and drug screening
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience in highway or railroad construction
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Head Light, etc.)
- Construction Management or Civil Engineering Degree
The salary range for this role is $100,000-$145,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
