We are seeking an experienced Constructability Review Specialist to support preconstruction activities and ensure high-quality, coordinated design documentation. This role plays a critical part in minimizing construction risks, reducing change orders, and improving project efficiency through expert review and collaboration with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Design Managers and project stakeholders during preconstruction
- Review and refine project requirements, scope, and schedules
- value engineering recommendations early in the design phase
- Identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, and errors in design documents
- Conduct comprehensive constructability reviews of pre-bid documents
- Ensure coordination across architectural, engineering, and construction disciplines
- Reduce RFIs and change orders through proactive issue identification
- Support documentation quality and alignment across teams
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- 15 years of professional experience with an Architecture degree
- 10 years as a Construction Administrator
- 5 years as a Designer
- Experience on public or educational facility projects ($8M+ per project or $80M cumulative)
OR
Option 2 (Construction Management Path):- 15 years of experience as a Project Superintendent or Project Manager
- Combination of education and experience may substitute degree requirements
- Strong ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Expertise in RFIs, submittals, and change order review
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Word & Excel
- Bluebeam or similar tools
- Comprehensive Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision)
