We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects in the Los Angeles area. This role is ideal for a professional who excels at managing ground-up and renovation projects, driving schedules, budgets, and coordination from preconstruction through closeout.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overall project execution, working closely with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities- Manage full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout
- Develop, maintain, and drive project schedules, budgets, and overall execution
- Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure field operations align with project goals
- Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout, and contract administration
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Monitor project costs, track budgets, and forecast financial performance
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
- Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and coordination issues
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes
- Maintain clear communication with ownership and stakeholders on project progress
- Lead project closeout including final documentation, punch lists, and turnover
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor
- Experience managing commercial, retail, or industrial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software
- Solid understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
