About the OpportunityOur client is a well-established general contractor specializing in high-end commercial construction projects, with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional tenant improvement (TI) work. They are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support project execution on sophisticated, design-forward commercial interiors throughout the Los Angeles area.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has hands‑on experience with high‑end commercial TI projects
.
- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely and quality project execution
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
- Review and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Help maintain project schedules and proactively identify potential delays or issues
- Attend project meetings and assist with progress reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company procedures
- Participate in client communication and help maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- 2–5+ years of experience in construction project coordination or engineering roles
- Strong experience with high‑end commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
- Solid understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
- Exposure to high‑profile, design‑driven commercial projects
