Assistant Project Manager

Our client is a well-established general contractor specializing in high-end commercial construction projects, with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional tenant improvement (TI) work. They are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support project execution on sophisticated, design-forward commercial interiors throughout the Los Angeles area.

• Assist the Project Manager in overseeing all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely and quality project execution
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
• Review and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Help maintain project schedules and proactively identify potential delays or issues
• Attend project meetings and assist with progress reporting
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company procedures
• Participate in client communication and help maintain strong stakeholder relationships

• 2–5+ years of experience in construction project coordination or engineering roles
• Strong experience with high‑end commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
• Solid understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
