Position: Construction Manager- Aviation (Anticipated Opening)

Construction Manager - Aviation (Anticipated Opening)

Founded in 1952 and formerly known as Heery International Inc., the firm now operates throughout the United States as part of Turner & Townsend. It specializes in project and program management for public sector organizations across many industries including aviation.

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking Construction Management talent in the aviation construction market sector. Candidates should have prior experience in aviation projects such as baggage handling, way finding, terminal expansion or renovation, and civil and utilities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction to project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Implement and enforce quality control and safety protocols on construction sites.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee procurement and management of construction contracts and subcontracts, negotiate contract terms, and manage contractor performance.
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, addressing issues promptly.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and develop contingency plans.
  • Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth.
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational and management skills with ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and other construction project management tools.
Compensation

The salary range for this full-time role is $120,000–$175,000 per year, based on role and level. This range represents base salary only.
