Commercial Construction Project Manager

• Maintain adherence to safety standards; ensuring required documentation is filed.
• Create and manage project budget for all assigned projects.
• Develop and collaborate on pre‑construction RFP package.
• Conduct project meetings, set milestones, formulate monthly owner reports.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders.
• Perform project scheduling; ensure project quality control and establish overall project logistics.
• Manage the closeout process efficiently.
• Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs, explain how these needs could be met by company services.
• Supervise assistant operations support roles such as assistant project manager, administrative assistant, MEP managers, safety team members, etc.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the project.

• High school diploma required; a four‑year degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred. In lieu of a degree additional work experience is acceptable.
• 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, general contractor experience.
• Previous experience in a project management role, ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
• Master sector/project‑specific software systems including Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Pro Core, Adobe, Blue Beam, JD Edwards.
• Mastery of reading construction drawings and updating drawings.
• Ability to organize necessary resources, people, tools, and time to meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of current market conditions, pricing conventions and trends.
• Leadership and decision‑making facilitation.
• Positive attitude, passion for construction, excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Initiative, responsibility, integrity aligned with HITT Way & core values.
• Continuous improvement, self‑improvement, quality standards, flexibility, collaboration, customer‑service attitude.
• Coaching, training, educating assistant operations team members.
• Client relationship management (existing and new). Multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Base salary range (California): $ – $. Compensation varies in other cities and states.
