Senior Construction Superintendent
Take the lead on a highly visible, multimillion-dollar infrastructure initiative modernizing street lighting throughout Los Angeles. A nationally established clean energy and utility services organization is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to oversee field operations for a major streetlight installation and retrofit program.
The role of Senior Construction Superintendent is crucial in overseeing significant projects, particularly the extension of a street light installation program. This position demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in light pole utility projects. The successful candidate will lead a team to implement innovative solutions, such as solar light fixtures, addressing challenges like copper wire theft. This role requires strong leadership, budget management skills, and a proactive approach to motivate the workforce.
Additionally, familiarity with the Los Angeles area and its unique construction landscape will enhance effectiveness in this position.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 / Year DOE
Responsibilities- Oversee the extension of the street light installation program across Los Angeles
- Lead the implementation of solar light fixtures to replace nonworking poles
- Manage project budgets and ensure compliance with financial objectives
- Coordinate with union labor and other stakeholders to ensure project success
- Serve as a field commander, guiding the team through challenges and ensuring motivation
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages initiative and innovation
- Experience with light pole utility projects is essential
- Proven track record of working with union labor
- 8-15 years of relevant experience is required
- 4+ years of experience specifically with light poles is preferred
- A BA Degree is preferred
- Additional experience with light poles is preferred
