Construction Logistics Specialist IV (Night Shift)

Southern California | Full-Time | W-2

We're seeking an experienced Senior Construction Logistics Specialist to support a large, active transportation infrastructure program. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned construction management professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys coordinating multiple stakeholders while ensuring construction activities are executed safely and efficiently during overnight operations.

This role requires extensive field coordination, construction oversight, and collaboration with operations, contractors, safety personnel, and project teams to minimize disruptions while maintaining compliance with approved work plans.

Responsibilities
  • Lead nightly coordination meetings with operations and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee construction activities occurring during overnight shifts across multiple active work areas.
  • Verify compliance with approved work plans, construction shutdown requests, traffic control, barricades, and signage.
  • Coordinate closely with contractors, construction inspectors, operations personnel, safety teams, security, and project managers.
  • Conduct routine field inspections to monitor construction activities, equipment deployment, and contractor compliance.
  • Document field activities through written reports and photographic documentation.
  • Identify conflicts, resolve field issues, and communicate project impacts to stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction schedules and ensure activities align with approved work windows.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools, reports, and project documentation.
  • Recommend improvements to construction logistics, operational procedures, and field coordination processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 20+ years of construction management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of airport construction experience or 5 years supporting other critical operating facilities (transit, healthcare, utilities, military, data centers, ports, etc.).
  • Strong background in construction logistics, field coordination, contractor management, and construction operations.
  • Experience working on large capital improvement or infrastructure programs.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable making decisions in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and related construction management software.
